Zander Slavitz
I design physical products that turn complex engineering into intuitive experiences.
I combine mechanical engineering, product design, prototyping, and manufacturing experience to take ideas from early concepts through production-ready hardware.

How I Work
I’m a mechanical product design engineer with 10+ years of experience developing consumer products and electromechanical systems from concept through mass production. I enjoy the early stages of product development most: defining the architecture, working through ambiguous constraints, building prototypes, and finding solutions that are both technically robust and intuitive to use.
My work sits at the intersection of engineering and product design. I’ve developed mechanisms, injection-molded and overmolded components, compact electromechanical assemblies, and high-volume consumer products while working closely with industrial design, electrical engineering, firmware, manufacturing partners, and suppliers.
I studied Mechanical Engineering at Bucknell University and have spent my career building products where the mechanical details meaningfully shape the user experience. Outside of work, I’m usually mountain biking, building something, traveling, or learning about design, technology, and human behavior.
